- Greece Documentary
- We were asked to travel to Greece with the Founder and CEO of Taziki's to document where they locally sourced some of their key ingredients. We traveled from the coast of Leonids where they grow their olives to make their delicious olive oil, to Mesolongi where we filmed with mountains of sea salt and where it comes from, to Aigio where they package their mixed olives to Athens where their lemon juice is bottled. It was quite the adventure! Taziki’s intention was to introduce their franchisee owners to some of the farmers and producers that make their products special..

More Work
LED Wall Installation
We created animation to play on a 50′ video wall for the Alabama Ballet’s 2022 Gala event. This years theme was “Follow the Call of the Disco Ball” and had an Andy Warhol theme. we commisioned Beth Picard to create Warhol-esque portraits of the 38 dancers in the company. We then used Unreal Engine 5 to place them as giant billboards in a downtown environment. Then we flew a virtual drone around and filmed a bit.
Eastboga Bee Company
We faced our own fears as we visited some of Eastaboga Bee Company’s hive. We were able to document some of the process that beekeeper, Justin Hill does to make his honey. While we were there, he told us the story behind his logo and farm. We turned this into a documentary of sorts. Along with just some gratuitous shots of yummy honey in our studio.
Know Thy Farmer
In the winter of 2015, M+D traveled into rural Alabama expecting to shoot portraits of farmers for a Market at Pepper Place exhibit. Instead, we discovered a community of the most gracious, genuine, hard-working people we had ever met. These farming families welcomed us into their homes and shared their stories and their bounty.
Royal Highnies
Mason + Dixon curated and photographed the company’s new holiday lookbook, including set build and design, art direction, photography, and collaboration with Royal Highnie’s advertising agency in order to produce the catalog. The project was accomplished through two collaborative shoots; one on location in Chattanooga and one in the Birmingham studio.
